SWORD SORCERY WITH BELLADONNA - THE QUEEN OF SWORDS

The sword is a weapon, a tool, and a symbol—an object humans have carried for protection, power, ceremony, status, and transformation. In the hands of a dancer, it becomes a partner, an extension of the body, and a powerful instrument for expression.

In Sword Sorcery, Belladonna — the Baroness of Blades and creatrix of the Boho Blade sword system— invites you to explore the magic, mystery, and power of dancing with a sword.

Through powerful poses, evocative pathways, dynamic sword technique, musicality, and commanding presence, we’ll explore not only how we move the sword, but what it means to wield it.

What am I protecting?
What am I claiming?
What am I cutting away?

These questions become the foundation for our movement and our ritual. We’ll explore the sword as guardian through boundaries and protective shapes; as a symbol of personal power through expansion, presentation, and taking up space; and as a tool of transformation through slicing pathways, decisive movement, and release.

Using intention, symbolism, archetype, and movement, we’ll create a ritual journey through the sword—crossing a threshold, embodying our intention, and emerging transformed.

Part technique, part artistry, part ritual, Sword Sorcery is an invitation to wield the sword with powerful, purposeful intention—and discover a little of your own magic along the way.

BIO:
Belladonna is a modern fusion belly dance instructor, performer and show producer from Washington DC. She is also a certified yoga instructor, fire dancers, troupe director and artist. Inspired by the power and healing dance can evoke. She believes that self-expression is essential for one's wellbeing, and hopes her performances inspire others to find a passion they want to pursue.
